RAW supports the green agenda of tomorrows construction process at Building Green

General 1. Nov. 2019

Building Green was founded in Copenhagen in 2011, and it has grown to become a unique platform for information inspiration and ideas about sustainability within the construction industry. RAW participated in Building Green this year, where we showed off our robotic platform, presented its’ possibilities and had exciting dialogues regarding future collaborations.

Building Green is a fair which primarily focuses on sustainable materials, products and solutions that provide environmental benefits. We didn’t want to miss the opportunity to show and explain how Robot at Work and our solution fits into that agenda, and that is why we participated at the fair. We had our own stand where we set up our modular robot platform, and from there we were able to present interested parties to our solution and its opportunities in the construction industry.

The fair itself had a lot of focus on how to incorporate new sustainable, but also recycled, materials into construction processes and buildings. It provided us with an opportunity to illustrate how automation technology also align with a green agenda and can be applied in different situations and processes.

RAW’s stand at the fair.

It was inspiring to experience different environmental frontrunners and hear how their products, materials, or solutions all support the green agenda of tomorrow. By combining their approaches and our automation solution, we experienced vast collaboration opportunities that we will need to follow up in the future.

Of course, we demonstrated our modular robotics platform technology and how it can be transformed to fit the individual task without heavy investment in additional technology and robots. To align with the agenda of Building Green, we exhibited three different mock-up cases at our stand:

1. Milling out the mortar between bricks

2. Automated Rebar-tying

3. Milling of PCB paint within demolition and renovation

What happens now? As with every fair, the real work begins after the fair itself, and we are very excited about doing follow-up work on the exciting cooperation opportunities and leads, that our presence at the fair resulted in.
