Last Tuesday, February 11th, Robot at Work was invited for a meeting and networking event in London.

RAW's CEO, Kasper G. Larsen, and CTO, Finn K. Christensen, attended the MEET THE BUYER in London last week. The day started with an individual one-on-one meeting with a decision maker from LafargeHolcim, where we presented our RAW robotic solution and its’ potential in the future. LafargeHolcim is a global leader in building materials and solutions, and they participated in the event looking to work with various companies working within the industry itself or companies who make innovative solutions for the construction industry. With our robotic solutions for the construction industry, RAW fits perfectly within this target group, and therefore we could not turn down the offer of an individual meeting with LafargeHolcim.

The meeting initially focused on how LafargeHolcim could potentially use our technology within, among other things, their precast concrete segment, which generated a lot of interest. After discussing the modular part of our robotic solution, we began talking specific ideas about a solution in 3D printing, anchored around LarfargeHolcim's products.

Cocktails & Networking

Following our individual meeting with LafargeHolcim, we participated in the subsequent networking event, where start-ups and smaller, innovative cleantech companies could meet investment companies and larger companies with an interest in innovation of the construction industry and the environment in general. About 20 investment companies participated in the event, including companies such as Goldman Sachs, KPMG and Schneider Electric. It was a unique opportunity to meet other companies, than those with whom we usually interact. We experienced a lot of recognition of the potential of our modular robotic platform, and throughout the evening we had many exciting conversations, which resulted in new network connections for RAW.

Overall, it was a day of new network connections and a lot of new impressions. RAW appreciates the opportunity to learn about the development within sustainable construction and at the same time present our solution. We were once again confirmed and amazed by the potential of our technology, and we consider the concrete segment an exciting and innovative segment within the construction industry full of potential.
