Robot at Work participated in DI Byg's conference "New technology as a business potential" at Industriens Hus on April 11.

RAW participated in DI Byg's conference “New technology as business potential”, which was about the business potential of digitalization and technology in construction. Focusing was on how the construction industry can use new 4.0 technologies to keep up with developments in other industries as well as to increase efficiency and productivity.

The day had an exciting line-up with several interesting presentations, including Jan Mischke from the McKinsey Global Institute and our own CTO Finn Christensen, who introduced our new modular robotic platform.

As a demonstration, we mounted the Modular Robotic platform on a small, moveable scaffolding in order for the participants to experience and understand the many possibilities our platform offers.

It was an exciting and educational day, where it became clear that there for us to do! Our two most important take-aways from the day are:

  • The construction industry is terribly low on investment in new digital technologies - in fact, we are only ahead of agriculture, and we are in imminent danger of placing ourselves at the very bottom of the scale.
  • The key word from the day is collaboration! Collaborate across value chains and professional groups in creating new initiatives, processes and methods - end of thinking 'business as usual'.
